Richard Solomon
For over sixteen years, Richard Solomon has taken his listeners around the globe to meet experts, news makers and those making a difference in our lives. Taking Care of Business is the ultimate behind-the-scenes radio experience. Rich has literally walked through Memphis (where he visited Elvis Presley’s home Graceland, Sun Studios, and Stax Records), the Grand Canyon (where he took the Grand Canyon Railway and was part of a train “robbery”), rode Jeeps in the Arizona Desert, cooked Italian food at Forlini’s and enjoyed the highly talented comics from the Long Island Comedy Festival.
Rich is also well-known for interviewing legendary musicians such as Denny Laine, Kasim Sultan (Utopia, Joan Jett and the Blackhearts) and members from Styx, the Gin Blossoms, the Spin Doctors, Joe Refano (the Monkees, Herman’s Hermits and the Liverpool Shuffle.) Kate Taylor, and Jeremy Clyde. Most important Rich has chatted with, music insiders and experts such as Kevin Howlett of the BBC (Beatles Archivist), Monte Melnick (Ramone’s Tour Manager), Cousin Brucie, and Denis McNamara (WLIR).
Other adventures have included interviews of astronauts and covering numerous shows regularly held in New York City such as Book Expo, The Restaurant Show, Fancy Food Show, Legal Tech and Star Trek. When possible, Rich covers Fleet Week New York and has reported from the decks of naval ships at sea.
Great guests are often suggested by listeners. If you have someone in mind as a guest please send Rich an email at tcbradiowcwp@yahoo.com
